Artifacts and documents

Find created files, read PDFs and spreadsheets, and save files to this device.

On this page

Find an artifact

Open Artifacts from the sidebar to find files referenced in conversations across your connected computers, including archived conversations. Search by name, project or workspace, filter by computer or file category, and choose the sort order.

Favorite useful items on this device. Open a card to view the file, download it or return to its source conversation. A retained card does not make an offline host's file available; refresh after reconnecting.

Read a PDF

Open a PDF from Files, an attachment or an artifact. The reader provides page navigation, selectable text, zoom, fit width and password entry for supported protected files. PDF contents are read-only.

The document opens in a workspace file tab where that navigation is available. Download preserves the original file. Opening a PDF does not start a coding agent.

View and edit spreadsheets

The reader supports XLSX, XLS, XLSM, ODS, CSV and TSV. Select a worksheet and inspect its cells. CSV and TSV offer Preview and Source views.

For project XLSX files on a compatible host, owners and authorized developers can select a cell, edit its value or formula in the formula bar, then choose Save changes. Uploaded attachments and other binary workbook formats remain read-only. External changes produce a conflict while preserving your draft.

Formulas and drafts

Lyre does not execute macros or calculate formulas. Edited formula results need recalculation in spreadsheet software. XLSX drafts survive retained tab changes, but are not saved across app termination.

Save to the device you are using

Choose Download to save the original bytes to this client, including files from a remote computer. Desktop uses its save dialog; browsers and phones use their supported download or sharing controls. Open on this computer uses a supported local external application.

Check completion and the destination before closing. If authorization is revoked or the host disconnects, restore the permitted connection and retry. App-only preview downloads remain scoped to the shared app; they do not open the project's filesystem.
