Installation and setup

Prepare the computer that runs your project and the phone you will test it on.

Before you begin

  • A computer that can stay powered on while you work remotely.
  • A Lyre desktop build and a compatible Android client from the published download channel.
  • A project folder, or an idea for a small first project.
  • A coding provider configured on the host if you want AI assistance.

Desktop and Android are the first release targets. Check the installer’s platform and release notes before downloading. Use the installer linked from Lyre?s own download channel.

Set up the desktop first

  1. Open the downloads section and select an available build for your computer.
  2. Install and open Lyre. Allow its host to finish starting before connecting another device.
  3. Open a project folder. Review any suggested dependency installation or startup command.
  4. Start the project and confirm that its preview works on the computer.

If no installer is listed for your platform, follow release updates rather than substituting a package from another product.

Connect the phone

Install a compatible Android build and begin with both devices on the same network. Use the host’s pairing flow to connect the phone, then open the approved project preview. Follow Pairing and device access for the access choices.

Success looks like: the same project opens on desktop and phone, and a small saved UI change appears in the phone preview. Continue with your first project.
