What’s new in 0.1.3

The capabilities, improvements and fixes in the Lyre 0.1.3 desktop release, and what is still being qualified.

Lyre 0.1.3

Lyre 0.1.3 is the current early-access desktop release. Windows x64 and Linux x64 builds are available; macOS is in preview and separate testing. The exact per-build changelog and downloads live on the public release page, and availability by platform is tracked in release status.

This page describes what is new in the 0.1.3 line. If you are already on an older 0.1.3 build, updating to the latest 0.1.3 download brings the capabilities below.

What’s new

  • Model routing with more than one key. Settings → AI & agents → Routing groups a provider’s accounts in order, and Add key adds several named keys in one focused sheet. Lyre tries them in order and moves on when one is rate-limited. Models & routes starts with up to five models enabled and keeps an explicit choice uncapped. See Providers, keys and routing.
  • Guided Publish. A review-first sheet checks your saved settings, shows only the missing requirements, and publishes to Android, iOS (with a Mac), desktop, a supported web host or a custom script — using your own store accounts and credentials. See Publish your app.
  • Deploy to your own server. Connect a self-hosted Dokploy target, deploy an application, and read back its URL, status and logs from the workspace. The full native Dokploy management surface is still in progress. See Deploy to your own server.
  • A redesigned workspace. A clearer Library, sidebar and project groups, plus Guided starts, Activity and schedule controls. Guided and Developer modes use the same underlying capabilities and preserve the work you have selected.
  • Local models. Discover and manage Ollama, LM Studio or llama.cpp through the existing provider runtime; you still manage the runners and weights. See Your first local model.
  • Simpler pairing and discovery. Host discovery streams results as they arrive, and enrollment is shorter.
  • In-place desktop updates. The sidebar shows download progress for an available update instead of waiting silently.
  • Remote app previews. Open the running app from a paired device over the local network, or through the encrypted relay when you are away. See Connectivity.

Improvements

  • Settings names the scope it changes — this device, the selected computer, an account or a project — and preserves drafts and navigation when you move around.
  • Notification settings state which device receives an alert and which modes that platform supports.
  • A file link in a conversation opens through the authorized host file gateway.
  • Queued messages keep their attachments, and text edits survive across devices.
  • Importing sessions can be cancelled while it runs.
  • Marketplace shows reviewed template previews and starter discovery before you install anything.
  • Preview traffic is gentler on the relay: an idle screen slows its frame cadence and reconnects back off when a quota is reached, so the relay stays available for everyone.

Fixes

  • iOS keeps its scene lifecycle and private preview identity across backgrounding and relaunch.
  • Voice surfaces a blocked consent state and honors revocation instead of failing quietly.
  • Model pickers stay inside the viewport on small screens.
  • Computer names are no longer confused with local aliases in Settings.
  • Cached upload previews persist when you switch views.

Install and update

  1. Get the build for your computer from the download section: Windows x64 or Linux x64. macOS is in preview.
  2. Windows builds are currently unsigned, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning. Confirm the publisher and checksum before running the installer.
  3. Save your work and back up anything important before updating, and stop active tasks cleanly.
  4. Keep paired clients on a version that matches the desktop; update both, then retest a project locally and on the phone.

See Installation and setup and Updating and reporting problems.

Still being qualified

These are real product workflows, but their broader distribution and device acceptance are still in progress. Do not treat them as finished guarantees.

  • Phone preview and remote interaction work, but broad installed-device and store distribution are still being qualified.
  • Android is offered first through a Google Play internal-testing track; iOS and public Android availability are coming soon, with no promised date.
  • Starting a task on one device and finishing it on a paired device needs the same host awake, online and running Lyre. Cross-host execution transfer is not established.
  • Seamless Marketplace installation and arbitrary extension execution are not ready; reviewed starter sources and a public registry exist.
